Meet Lynley
Hello! My name is Lynley Jayne, and I am a Therapeutic Social Worker based in Papamoa. I registered as a Social Worker in 2015, and over the years my work has naturally evolved into a strong passion for therapy, healing, and helping people reconnect with their authentic selves. While my professional background is grounded in social work, my passion lies in providing meaningful therapeutic support through real conversations, genuine connection, and emotional safety.
Alongside my professional experience, I also bring lived experience of struggling with self-blame, shame, people-pleasing, and placing too much importance on what others thought of me. There came a point where the contrast between the life I was living and the life I truly wanted became impossible to ignore. I had to learn how to stop letting other people define my worth, reconnect with my values, build healthier boundaries, and discover who I really was underneath the expectations and survival patterns.
I believe therapy works best when there is a strong, authentic relationship between therapist and client. My approach is warm, honest, grounded, and deeply relational. I am passionate about helping people explore themes such as identity, self-worth, trauma, overwhelming emotions, boundaries, purpose, and healing from past experiences. I pride myself on being authentic — saying it how it is while creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My goal is to walk alongside you through your own journey of healing, self-discovery, and belonging. Through real conversations and meaningful therapeutic work, we can begin to uncover the real you.
